Gladstone Airport is pleased to welcome a vibrant new exhibition that brings creativity, colour, and community spirit into our terminal. The Celebrate Australia 2025 exhibition is now on display in the Departures Lounge and will remain available for public viewing until Wednesday, 6 August 2025.
Presented in partnership with the Gladstone Regional Art Gallery & Museum, this annual exhibition showcases original artworks created by local primary school students. Each piece reflects the theme "Who and what makes Australia great," offering a fresh and heartwarming interpretation of Australian identity through the eyes of the region’s youngest artists.
From paintings of native animals and landscapes to depictions of cultural icons and community values, the artworks express a strong sense of pride, imagination, and connection to place. The exhibition invites travellers and visitors alike to pause, reflect, and enjoy the creativity of the next generation.
Whether you are flying out, arriving home, or simply visiting the airport, we encourage you to take a few moments to view the exhibition. It is a meaningful and uplifting display that captures the unique perspective of children growing up in regional Queensland and their thoughts on what defines the Australian spirit today.
