Flight Schedule Update – Bonza Gold Coast to Gladstone Route

We at Gladstone Airport are committed to keeping you informed with the latest news and updates about our flight schedules. Today, we would like to share some important information regarding changes to Bonza’s flight routes.
Bonza has made a temporary deferral of some routes due to a regulatory approval process associated with an aircraft leased from their partner, Flair. Unfortunately, this includes the Gladstone to Gold Coast service.

As we continue to modernise our facilities, we encourage you to ‘watch this space’ for more exciting updates from Gladstone Airport. Our modernisation program is in full swing, and there’s plenty more to come.

Bonza’s CEO, Tim Jordan, has expressed his regret over this decision but assures us that it is only a temporary measure:

‘As we’ve previously shared, in the short term we will use an aircraft leased from our partner Flair at our Gold Coast base whilst we recruit Aussie crew for this third base. This arrangement brings with it a separate regulatory approval process. That process is progressing but is not yet complete and, as a result, we’ve had to make the regrettable decision to defer some routes to/from the Gold Coast including Gladstone.

The new start date for the Gladstone – Gold Coast route will be in early 2024 and Bonza remains very committed to offering this service to the Gladstone community.

Our twice weekly flights from Gladstone to Melbourne with fares starting from $99 continue to operate as scheduled.

We are sorry for the impact these changes have had on regional Queensland and we’re working hard to have full operations up and running in the coming weeks. ‘

If you have any questions or need more information, please don’t hesitate to contact Bonza directly.
